The Ariens Company is growing and we are looking for a talented Industrial Designer to drive innovation and bring industry leading aesthetics to our products. Working in a dynamic team setting our ideal Designer is self-driven and comfortable at all stages of the NPD process. Candidates must be able to communicate design concepts both visually and verbally, as well as collaborate across multiple disciplines to discover new opportunities and deliver products. The ability to analysis product opportunities and communicate potential solution to the business is key. A hands-on approach and willingness to “get dirty” is also a must.   • Through research and exploration, understand and define end customer needs in order to drive innovative concepts, products, and experiences.
  • Balance multiple projects and prioritize your workload while always striving for industry leading designs.
  • Recognizing the influence of marketing, engineering, manufacturing, cost and timing, the Industrial Design team works hand-in-hand with product development teams to deliver market ready products. As an Industrial Designer you will deliver projects though the NPD process.

Job Requirements


  • We need someone who is passionate, curious, and not afraid of new challenges.
  • Thorough understanding of the Design Process and its integration into a product development process.
  • In-depth understand of human centered design, human factors, and ergonomics.
  • Strong visual communication skills. Rapid ideation, digital and hand sketching skills.
  • 3D prototype development. Digital and hand modeling.
  • Good mechanical aptitude and knowledge of various materials and manufacturing processes.


  • 3 years of post-graduate, professional design experience.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team setting.
  • Bachelor's degree/diploma in Industrial Design or Product Design.
  • Proficiency in CAD software and rendering packages. Solidworks is a plus.
  • Thorough understanding of the Adobe Creative Suite, digital sketching, and Microsoft Office.
