Ariens Specialty Brands (An Ariens Company) in Janesville, WI is seeking a high-caliber Product  Manager to create, manage and execute strategic direction for their product categories. Know the customer, understand their needs and deliver solutions while driving growth.



  1. Create, manage and execute strategic direction for product categories.
  2. Develop and meet or exceed category growth plans including sales, promotional plans and margin.
  3. Manage the category product portfolios:
    • Manage product life cycle from end to end
    • Strong focus on new product launches: customer-relevant, innovative and profit-driving
    • Review supplier offerings and determine if/when portfolio expansions are warranted
  4. Develop and execute category promotional plans.
    • Determine best fit products for multi-channel focus- catalog, online, etc.
    • Ability to analyze financial impact of various promotional opportunities
    • Identify placement and promotion approach
  5. Develop pricing plan for categories based on marketplace and ensure competitive position.
  6. Build industry knowledge, including competitive landscape.
    • Attend key industry tradeshows/events
    • Visit customers to better understand their needs
  7. Partner with various internal teams to meet or exceed goals, including sales, marketing, and purchasing teams.

Job Requirements


  • Bachelor’s (BA or BS) degree in Marketing, Business Administration; Master’s (MBA) preferred
  • Minimum of 6 years of experience in marketing, product, merchandising or related field
