We are currently recruiting for a senior level Electro-Mechanical Engineer. In this role you will design and support the electrical and mechanical systems used on all Ariens Power Equipment. The qualified candidate will be responsible for new product innovation of electrical systems that include: specification creation and electrical schematic creation, managing multiple suppliers in design execution, validation and documentation and ensuring the successful integration into the manufacturing process.

Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Work daily with multi-discipline teams on new product design and continuous improvement of Ariens product electrical and electro-mechanical systems.
  2. Identify, initiate, and drive future technology initiatives within the electrical and electro-mechanical systems of all Ariens products.
  3. Design and maintain wiring harnesses and schematics, ensuring all electrical systems are integrated efficiently and effectively.
  4. Project management of multiple projects and suppliers, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, quality, and design specifications.
  5. Establish validation standards, develop testing protocols, and document test results for all Ariens product electrical systems.
  6. Use engineering and computer design software to complete assigned work.
  7. Develop test scopes involving multiple supplier interaction and facilitate integrated test plans.
  8. Develop and prototype wiring harnesses for use on prototype test equipment
  9. Must be hands on while being able to drive strategy and innovation.

Job Requirements

Education and Experience

  • 4-year Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering degree from an accredited university
  • Understanding of basic DC electrical systems and diagnostic equipment
  • Experience with Solidworks preferred and 3D modeling preferred
  • Knowledgeable in NMMA, SAE, and IEEE standards preferred
  • Ariens product operation experience preferred
